Solazyme and Bunge expand JV in Brazil

US agribusiness major Bunge Ltd. and Solazyme Inc. said they plan to expand their cane-based oleochemicals project at Usina Moema in Sao Paulo to include a advanced biofuel production line. The plant would be operated under a 50:50 joint venture (JV). The companies plan to invest $90-110 mln and start operations in H2 2013.
