Emery to boost oleochem capacity in Asia

Palm oil-to-plastic additives company Emery Oleochemicals may sharply boost its fund raising on the back of ambitious expansion plans, its Chief Executive Kongkrapan Intarajang said.

Headquartered in Malaysia, Emery is a joint venture between the plantation division of Malaysia's Sime Darby and the international arm of Thailand's PTT Global Chemical Plc. The firm currently operates about 1 mln tonnes of oleochemical capacity across Europe, the United States and Asia, it said.
