Glanbia acquires US nutritional drinks maker

Ireland's Glanbia is strengthening its position in the nutritionals market with the acquisition of Aseptic Solutions Inc. (ASI) for US$60 million (€50m), funded through existing banking facilities.

Founded in 2004, ASI manufactures and co-packs nutritional and dietary beverages including vitamin shots, protein shakes and 100% natural fruit juices. The business employs 175 people at its base in Corona, California.
